Year 2016 is coming to the end. It is time to review what I have done in the last half year (actually seven months).
The following is the plan I made in the end of May:
- Blog: at least write 1 per month, ideally 1 per week
- Book: at least read 2 per month, ideally 1 per week
- Courses: at least finish 2 basic language learning (python and javascript), ideally 1 advanced level. LaTeX must be at advanced level.
- Running: at least 5km per week, ideally 50km per month
- Workout: at least 2 times per week, ideally 4 times per week
- Gathering: at least 1 per month, ideally 2 per month
Here is the result I got for the last seven months:
- Blog: including this one, 7 articles
- Book: 22
- Courses: three Lynda Python courses finished; one codecademy JavaScript course finished; LaTeX does not improve much
- Running: canceled
- Workout: around twice per week
- Gathering: around 7
The result seems not so bad but not good enough. In the coming new year, I should continue and do more. Here is other new targets I set:
- Guitar: practise at least half an hour per day, ideally one hour per day
- Coding: create at least 2 useful programs with Python or JavaScript, ideally 4
- Traveling: at least four places outside Singapore, ideally six
- Photography: learn how to use Lightroom to Intermediate level
Good Luck and have fun!
